Finally, A Haul Post!

Before my birthday, I was able to go to a mall in Scottsdale and just splurge before I moved here. I’m only able to do it now because now I’m finally settled enough to take pictures, upload, and post pictures now. I was hanging out with my friends (those I’m hoping I can see again this weekend) when we both found Wet Seal!

It’s a store here in North America that has this cool sale: if you buy anything on clearance, you can get something else on clearance for a penny. Literally, a penny! I’ve taken advantage of this sale once before but that was way before I had this blog. So… let’s see what I got this time!:

Ehehehe…. I was feeling very 80s that day but I couldn’t resist! Usually I don’t have green clothes (like I can count two other green shirts in my wardrobe – one was a gift and another has Keroppi on it) so yeah. Out of all of them, the light green camisole was the only one that wasn’t on sale. :3

And as you can tell, I got a pair of flats! That was lucky, right? Here’s a closer look of them:

Those are so cute! And I actually had some footless tights I had lying around from a previous spree but I figured it’d be a cute addition to the outfit!

The bracelet really adds to the 80s look ehehe. :”D I couldn’t help it! Oh but my friend, Jenna, told me about another store next to Wet Seal – Charmin Charlie! It’s a place where they sell mostly accessories but jewelry mostly. They ahhh, had another sale on their clearance items: buy one necklace get another free!

And with minutes till the mall closed I just had to get this:

Obviously, you can see a trend here. Granted, I have no problem paying full price for something but if I’m going to get an extra gift with my dollar spent with clearance items, then so be it! :3

Anyway, that’s the cute strawberry and this second one here:

Originally, it’s a star key. Unfortunately, in the process of moving, it broke. D: I still have the other part but I have to get some hot glue to fix it. Ahh but it’s still cute even though it’s broke, huh?

Moments after we left the mall, we went back to Tempe to go to Zia Records and I actually managed to find a JPOP album. o_O; I mean, they had Dir en Grey but that’s kind of standard as far as an independent rock store goes but… JPOP? And more importantly, SMAP?

Even though I haven’t talked about Johnny’s much in the past few years or so, I still had to get it. o_o I mean, how could I not?

But anyway, sorry it’s short but ^^; haha, I don’t know what else to put in here. But yeah. That’s all I got anyway. Once I go away for the weekend, I’ll wear those and I’ll take pictures so expect to see it on Monday or Tuesday or when I’m able to. @_@;; Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

Sanrio x Magical Girl Madoka = My Poor Wallet

I was browsing on my Facebook when I stumbled upon this article that Sanrio is going to collarboate with the now popular anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica except it’s not Hello Kitty this time – it’s My Melody and Kuromi. Probably because Hello Kitty’s still busy with One Piece

Normally, I’m not that big of a fan of My Melody and especially Kuromi but with this line? I’m willing to make an exception for them, especially since Madoka’s my favorite character from the anime.

Right now, it only seems that there’s going to five things coming up for it (towlette, keychains, cups, and I think a little notebook) but the grand thing I must absolutely have are the plushies of  both of them. Like I said, I’m not that much of a My Melody and Kuromi fan but argh, these are just too cute to pass up!

I know this isn’t Gyaru material but Hello Kitty and My Melody are pretty much the staple and must have for any one who’s Gyaru (even Kuromi or Chococat for those who don’t even like all the pinks and reds). However, it’s more than relevant to my interests that’s for sure.

I think out of all the merchandise that’s being offered right now – I must have the plushies! They’re just way too cute to resist! This line is supposedly going to come out in July so maybe by then they’ll have more merchandise planned out for this collaboration!

What do you think? Is it too weird Hello Kitty & co. are collaborating with anime nowadays or is it a match made in collector’s heaven? Is it too much or too little? Tell me your thoughts in a comment!

Pinky Paradise Turns Six Years Old!

Back when this blog first started, I have wrongfully accused this store of bad customer service, among other things. Thankfully, I’ve mended my ways and started to do double the research in order to make sure I got the facts right. Anyway, my friend Vivian had tweeted me about this sale that they’re having!

Anyway, it seems that Pinky Paradise is turning six years old! Because of it, they’re planning on having a 50% off sale for their Princess Mimi line. Okay, the sale is only on selected colors (Princess Mimi Apple Green, Princess Mimi Sesame Gray, Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown & Princess Mimi Almond Brown to be exact) but any sale is a good sale, right?

But wait! There’s more! Pinky Paradise are also having a 30% off sale for their following lines as well: Vassen Dolly (Dolly Plus Blue, Dolly Plus Grey, Dolly Plus Green, Dolly Plus Brown & Dolly Plus Violet), EOS Candy Series (Candy Violet & Candy Green), Shinny Series (Shinny Pink & Shinny Violet),  and the Wondereye Series (Wonder Eye Pink & Wonder Eye Green)!

And just when you think it isn’t enough, they’re including a 20% off sale for the following items as well: Princess Pinky Honey Pink, Dolce Brown, Dolce Hazel, Dolce Black, Dolce Grey, Dolly Black, and Dolly Brown!

Wow. That’s a lot. Honestly, I really wouldn’t know what to recommend since I don’t even have my first pair of circle/colored lens (yet). The sale is going to last from May 21st to May 27th so I would highly suggest to purchase these circle lens while you still can!

Personally, I am aiming to get the GEO Angel Blue and GEO Angel Violet. Yes, I realize everyone who even thought about the lens has reviewed at least the blue ones once already but I feel they’d be really nice on me. And especially so since I’m a beginner in the world of circle lens.

“Well, what’s stopping you from getting them?” You may ask.

My answer is that I wear glasses. Most people these days will tell you that glasses are a must and nerds are in but I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in 3rd grade. And I’ll be the first to tell you there’s nothing cool about glasses! I need to save up to go the eye doctor to get my eyes checked (I’m due for an eye exam anyway) and get the powers for my eyes because of my astigmatism.

Simply put, I’m so tired of glasses! I want to wear contacts and, like I mentioned above, those two lenses would probably be perfect for a Gyaru beginner like me.

So what do you think of the sale? Exciting? Not so great? How great are those lenses anyway?
